Introducing Natural State Weather Stories

Back in February of this year, we partnered up with a company called Weather Logic to bring Arkansas a new way of watching the sky with a product called Hazcams. This has CHANGED the way we deal with weather and how we watch storms. Before we had to rely on radar in radar loss zones to hope and detect a dangerous storm. With Hazcams, we can now reach smaller communities and larger ones and be able to track storms in a new way! Since its launch in February, we have seen 5 cameras go live, with 7 more set to go on air by early September! This will lead the way into a new era of tracking storms in Arkansas and our goal is all 75 counties to bring you coverage like never before.

Also this year, you have seen the launch of a brand new app and the Arkansas Weather Network which is a 24/7/365 network dedicated to bringing you weather only and keeping you up to date around the clock. With this, we are able to bring local alerts to areas that may not have had them before. Of course this means that more things are changing because, Afterall we are still introducing things in tandem with the usual summer upgrades with the turn of the fiscal year calendar. So Derek what does this all mean? Well, we are excited for what is coming as well.

As mentioned in the previous article, we are in an upgrade process to pretty much everything we do. From forecasts to coverage everything will look newer, and better for you the user. We can not wait to start rolling this out, and our hope that the best update is coming within the next couple of weeks with the Arkansas Weather Network, and it will be out for all to use! But that is not what this article is about. This one is one to follow up with all of the current endeavors of our great team working behind the scenes and introduce a new thing coming to Arkansas Weather Watchers Media Group.

Officially launching in September but we will have periodic things between now and then, is a new weather only journalism platform for you readers out there called Natural State Weather Stories. I for one am really excited about this since i do love typing out articles and of course weather and weather history. This will be more than just those articles that hit on the bad stuff. Natural state weather stories will feature all types of weather journalism. History, current events, system wrap ups and even detailed look ahead. How will the weather affect you? What was it like back then? What is ahead. Weather news without the politics. Fun stories from people, places and things that involve what the title says, the Natural State! We want to hear from you as well the viewer as to what you would like to see included in these bi-weekly articles that will bring even the youngest of future natural state weather lovers here to learn and to see what Arkansas weather is all about. Afterall, in this state, you never know what you are going to get, but with our team of multimedia journalists, you can be guaranteed that the story here will be fun, informative and free of any of that other hoopla you may get elsewhere.

So pardon our dust, the best Arkansas Weather Watchers product to date is coming and when it does,  YOU will be tuned in to the ones who have kept you ahead of the storm since 2014 and who are working daily to make sure we stay keeping you ahead of the storm into the future!
